Apprenticeship Scheme

Our Utilities Apprenticeship Scheme is designed to train young people to install and maintain a wide range of utility services, whilst at the same time, obtaining nationally recognised qualifications for the construction industry.

Apprenticeships are open to 16 – 24 year olds and placements can be throughout England and Scotland.

Entry requirements are 3 GCSE’s at grade D or above in English, Maths and one other subject.

Successful candidates will be hardworking, enthusiastic, enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and thrive in a team environment

Qualifications – Training is a combination of on-site experience and periods of residential training at the Construction Skills National Construction College, to attain the following:

Key Skills
Construction Diploma
NVQ Level 2 General Construction Operations
NCO Level 2 Network Construction Operations Water Services

The apprenticeship is for a period of 2 years.

Since the Utilities Apprenticeship scheme started in 2004, 56 apprentices have embarked onto the scheme, with 10 more due to start this October.
