Scope:

This contract was awarded to Clancy Docwra in 2007 for the provision of Planned Maintenance Works on the entire infrastructure operated by Metronet Rail for London Underground Limited, which covers two thirds of the London Underground system.
 

Individual works packages are scoped by the client and bid competitively against one other contractor.
 

Each works package can contain a variety of works including but not restricted to:
 

  • Bridge Painting
  • Survey and inspection Support Services
  • Water Ingress control within tunnels
  • Track Drainage Repairs
  • CCTV and Cleaning of Drainage
  • Vegetation Management
  • Brickwork Repairs
  • Platform Works
  • Concrete repairs
  • Tunnel Lining
  • Carpentry and Timber Repairs
  •  

This two year contract, which has the option of a two year extension subject to performance, also has the facility to deliver small to medium projects which are bid competitively, or negotiated based on performance. In addition to the above works Clancy Docwra provide two further key services within this contract:


24 Hour Emergency Call Out: Clancy Docwra are first line response for the provision of civil engineering teams for major incidents across the Metronet System, this can include anything from a derailed train to flooded station, a bridge strike or embankment stabilisation. Initial response times require attendance within 2 hours with a pre agreed level of men and equipment; following a site evaluation additional resources if required, must be made available.
Fault Response: These are day to day reactive maintenance works raised by station managers which are deemed to affect the safe operation of the railway. All faults, dependant on priority have a pre agreed response and resolution time up to a maximum of 5 days, with response times monitored and evaluated by the client.
