Quality
The ISO9000 Quality System was first approved by LRQA in 1994. The system has been continually reviewed and extended to cover all Group Operations. In January 2003, the company was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 standard through the development of it's integrated process-led Business Management System (BMS). The BMS is in electronic format and can be accessed via the Company Intranet or installed on local machines. It is accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
The intention of the BMS is to prevent inconsistent management and decision making, often to the detriment of the company. The key to the BMS is the process led approach. Each process describes individual activities and the outputs produced. Job roles are allocated to each of the activities, thus giving clear roles and responsibilities. Standard procedures and forms are attached to the activities to ensure the standardisation of information.
