Environment

Environmental issues are addressed and controlled by way of the Clancy Group Business Management System (BMS) which specifies the policy, responsibility levels and implementation advice.

The BMS is a fully integrated one and is ISO 14001 accredited.

The company operates a system of environmental site inspections that score all aspects of site management and operation.  The scores are such that 70% equates to the industry norm, 80% is the expected score for a site that is fully compliant with all our BMS environmental requirements.  Using this method ensures that best practise is encouraged.  Results of the inspection are circulated to all directors and a review is presented at each board meeting.

External to the business we are members of a number of environmental networks and working groups.  Our environmental staff are members of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and attend workshops, seminars and conferences to ensure that they are kept abreast of best practise across a range of industrial sectors.

In recognition of our efforts, the company has also won two Green Apple Awards- 2003 and 2006.
