A Considerate Contractor

The City of London Annual Gold Awards were held on the 6th November at Plaisters’ Hall in London, where Clancy Docwra were awarded the Highly Commended Gold Award for the Victorian Mains Replacement project. It is the first time the VMR have received the award having received three consecutive Gold awards previously. The award is an achievement over and above the required standards and was for work carried out from October 2008 to October 2009 in the City of London and working within the constraint set by the City of London Code of Practice, which is recognised under the Considerate Contractor Scheme.

In addition to this award, Terry Middleditch received the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award’; an award that is normally awarded to a company rather than a single person. Terry won this award for his courtesy to the public and willingness to ensure work in progress is carried out with the minimum disruption.
