Seamus Keogh, Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for delivering the goals and objectives of the business and leading the group’s overall corporate responsibility strategy. As chief executive officer, Seamus is firmly committed to maintaining Clancy Docwra’s mission ‘to make life better for all our families’, as well as ensuring that Clancy Docwra achieve their vision for 2020 which is ‘to become the most trusted supplier of essential services that keep the UK running’.
Seamus joined the company in 1988, was appointed to the Board of M.J. Clancy Limited and R.E. Docwra Limited in 1999 and on re-organisation in 2001 to the Board of Clancy Docwra Limited. After completing a diploma of health and safety practice, Seamus became a member of occupational safety and health in 1995 and continued in that role until he was appointed to the board. After a successful span of operational and strategic roles within the group in January 2009 he was appointed to Chief Operating Officer.
Born in 1961 in Callan, County Kilkenny, Seamus studied civil engineering at University College Dublin. Soon after qualifying in 1984, he crossed the Chanel to live with his sister in Wimbledon and look for work. His first job was with Murphy Limited as a site engineer, a role that saw him working in the Channel Islands for three years before joining Clancy’s as a site agent.
When he’s not at work, Seamus can be found in North London’s Enfield, where he’s lived since his return from the Channel Islands. Married with three children, he enjoys walking his chocolate-brown sprocker, Friday night downloads with his better half, and going for a Guinness with anyone who’ll have him. He also possesses an impressively in-depth knowledge of the science fiction and science fantasy genres – they’re different – and can be relied upon to win any pub quiz with a challenging Lord of the Rings round.
