Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller

Salary: £50-£60K

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join The Clancy Group. You will be based at our Leeds office.

 

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Title: Financial Controller

Salary: £50-£60K

Location: Leeds

This is a great opportunity for a Financial Controller

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Business partner with the associate director, commercial function and operations teams to deliver targets and drive decision making
  • Ensure the financial performance of the business unit and any associated balance sheet amounts are reported correctly
  • Produce monthly financial reports with commentary and variance analysis
  • Provide insight into the financial performance of the business unit and the associated risks and opportunities
  • Review/challenge actual and forecast project performance and actively investigate variances and exceptions
  • Seek opportunities to generate additional value or achieve cost reductions on projects
  • Review and challenge overhead costs
  • Look for and implement opportunities for process and system improvements
  • Lead the production of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Provide information to Head Office Finance as required for year end, tax or ad hoc purposes
  • Ensure that financial controls in the business unit are appropriate and are operating effectively
  • Ensure VAT compliance

This is not an exhaustive list of activities, so it is important that applicants have great organisation skills and are used to working in a fast-paced environment.
