Clancy has always had a strong tradition of charitable giving and a clear social purpose. The Clancy Charity Foundation allows us to build on this heritage in a more structured way. Our executive team is proud to have launched the Clancy Foundation, a charity to support community projects and organisations and help deliver wide-ranging social, economic and environmental benefits. The Foundation is part of our long term commitment to support good causes, and aligns with our corporate mission to: “make life better for everyone’s growing families.”

In 2021-22 the foundation supported many initiatives that benefit the our colleagues and the communities we serve. These include:

  • £20,000 donation to Lighthouse Club, Ronald McDonald House, Rennie Grove Hospice and Wycombe Youth Action Trust
  • £20,000 donation to Red Cross in Ukraine
  • Support for Danny Card a Mental Health initiative developed by Chris Watts, a Clancy colleague who lost a family member in early 2022
  • £20000 donation to the Lighthouse Club 4 Peaks Challenge and support for team of 10 to participate in the 48 hours endurance walk

We have always had a strong tradition of charitable giving and a clear social purpose, but we now want to create a Foundation which allows us to build on this heritage in a more structured way, against the backdrop of Covid-19 and its impact on society it’s now more important than ever that community projects, charities and organisations of all shapes and sizes can get support from businesses.

Mary Clancy

Chair of the Clancy Foundation

Wherever we can we aim to provide funding to initiaitives that our own teams feel aligned to, and welcome suggestions for community programme support from colleagues across the business.

Then there’s the match funding programme that is open to all staff to apply for their charitable efforts to be equalled (up to agreed levels) by the Foundation.
