Site Environmental Management
Protection of the natural environment is something that we strive for at Clancy. Our environmental teams work closely with our site engineers and construction operatives to ensure that everyone is aware of their responsibilities to protect our natural assets whilst undertaking their work. Regular site inspections and audits are undertaken alongside the site teams, while the Clancy environmental awareness training Green Card is a mandatory training programme for all office and site-based staff.
Great Crested Newt Rescue – Southern Water
Whilst attending to a repair inside a 2m deep concrete chamber, one of our teams came across an unusual surprise, Great Crested Newts. The team, immediately sought advice from the contract Environmental Advisor and Ecologist. They were then able organise a rescue mission. Shortly after the newts were safely released to nearby suitable habitat.
