Clancy wins reappointment to two Anglian Water alliances to mobilise AMP8 investment
UncategorisedClancy has been reappointed to Anglian Water’s Integrated Metering Alliance (IMA) and its Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling (IMR WR) alliance to deliver investment throughout AMP8.
The renewed Integrated Metering Alliance, which will run until 2030, will see Clancy work with Anglian Water and Kier to install one million smart meters around 1,500 per day – across the water company’s network through the next regulatory period. This will add to the 1.1 million meters which the alliance installed during AMP7.
On the IMR WR framework, Clancy will deliver a wide range of wastewater works – from manhole replacements to the maintenance and renewal of rising mains, along with elements of civils construction, using cutting-edge technology. Working with our alliance partners, Anglian Water, Claret Civil Engineering, Danaher & Walsh and Public Sewer Services, we will be using enhanced renovation techniques and digital sensor technology to create a smart network and help Anglian Water further strengthen its network performance.
Jim Davey, executive director at Clancy, said:
“We look forward to continuing to build on our long-standing relationship with Anglian Water across the two alliances through the next regulatory period. Smart metering is a vital tool in mitigating the challenges facing the industry around water availability and leakages. Our experience in metering over the past decade puts us in an excellent position to support Anglian Water’s ambitious roll out to improve network visibility, allow more targeted investment and help customers better understand their own usage.
“At the same time, significant resource is required to shore up vital assets for the future and manage the growing demands on our ageing infrastructure. Central to meeting these objectives will be strong alliances like the IMR WR which promote collaborative excellence and best-in-class delivery. Moving into AMP8, we are placing a focus on building on previous successes with further innovations and new digital technologies to maintain a strengthened, more efficient network for the benefit of Anglian Water’s customers and the region.”
